Can you give us a bit of background on yourself? When did you join EY, where were you prior to joining, etc.?

Hello! I joined the EY BAP program in 2017 after graduating from the College of William & Mary (and spending a summer interning with EY!). In college, I studied Finance, Marketing, and Sustainability Inspired Innovation and Design in addition to playing lacrosse. Outside of EY, I have worked at a frozen yogurt shop, lifeguarded, babysat (so so many hours), worked at an interior design firm, developed content for a women’s shelter, and ran my own lacrosse camp.

As we move into 2021 with a new org. structure, are there any new opportunities, projects, or events or other exciting changes you are looking forward to for the year?

Meeting new people who have joined the firm or whom I haven’t gotten to work with yet!

One of our last interviews was at the very start of COVID when we were all adjusting to working completely remote, during that time we asked for our colleagues impromptu office setup. It’s been almost a year since then but we are still interested in everyone’s desk setup. Where is your “office” now and what challenges have you faced in this new setting? What are some must haves to keep you working efficiently?

I moved in to a new apartment in February and ordered my first desk to carve out a nook in the living room for an office. Admittedly, I’m not the best at measuring spaces and thought I understood the dimensions I wanted, but have ended up with quite a massive desk, that’s parked along the back wall of my living room. Despite being larger than anticipated, the desk works just fine and can fit a second monitor, which is great. I’ve also got about 10 plants in the living space and found out I live next to a high school, so have some lovely views of plants as well as getting to hear the latest 10th grade gossip.

The pandemic has led us all to find new outlets for creativity, exercise, hobbies, etc.; what is a new activity that you have picked-up (or revisited) over the past year due to the restrictions of the pandemic?

The pandemic has been wonderful in reminding me that we have to pursue our hobbies or life becomes a whole lot of the “have to’s”. Over the past year, I’ve gotten much more into making creative pizzas (current favorite is pesto with potatoes slices and burrata), sewing phrases or slogans on sweatshirts and Marvel TV shows. My latest hobby these days is pickleball. If anyone ever wants to play in the city, you’re on!

What is something people don’t know about you because the right question hasn’t gotten around to you yet?

Few things make me happier than a beer at a dive bar.

First concert? And favorite venue?

Kelly Clarkson at the BB&T Pavilion (thank you to my dad, Jay, for taking me).

Go to song to kick off a dance party?

Last question, you are the headliner of a concert, what band or song opens for you?
