Can you give us a bit of background on yourself? When did you join EY, where were you prior to joining, etc.?

I joined EY in 2015, as part of the acquisition of Intuitive Company, which became the Philly studio. Prior to Intuitive, I bounced around a number of design agencies and departments…but before all of that, I spent the first few years of my career in the TV and film industry, working on high-brow art namesakes the Killer Tomatoes Eat France and The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

As we move into 2021 with a new org. structure, are there any new opportunities, projects, or events or other exciting changes you are looking forward to for the year?

I am just looking to doing some travel again! Since I already worked remotely, trips to see colleagues have always been something I’ve looked forward to in order to break up the daily monotony…and finding great bars, restaurants, and record stores on client trips is something I am desperately missing!

One of our last interviews was at the very start of COVID when we were all adjusting to working completely remote, during that time we asked for our colleagues impromptu office setup. It’s been almost a year since then but are still interested in everyone’s desk setup. Where is your “office” now and what challenges have you faced in this new setting? What are some must haves to keep you working efficiently?

Since I already worked from home, there was really no change in home office for me, aside from pandemic renovations including a fresh coat of paint and a room reorg. I’ll listen to music most of the day while I’m heads down, which means keeping my legs moving by getting up every 23 minutes or so to flip a record!

The pandemic has led us all to find new outlets for creativity, exercise, hobbies, etc.; what is a new activity that you have picked-up (or revisited) over the past year due to the restrictions of the pandemic?

I started fine tuning my drumming chops – I would call my drumming “serviceable for a guitarist”, so working on cleaning up my time keeping and getting better and more intricate stuff was something I had plenty o’ time to tackle!

What is something people don’t know about you because the right question hasn’t gotten around to you yet?

I once scored an indie film that I think did pretty good in some festivals. The film stunk, but that soundtrack…oh, that soundtrack…it saved the picture!

First concert? And favorite venue?

My first concert was the Talking Heads. No opener. David Byrne. Boombox. Big Suit. The definitive tour. As far as a favorite venue goes, there are many – Arlington Theater (Santa Barbara), Bowery Ballroom (NYC), and The Sinclair (Cambridge) are probably at the top of the list.
