Forget the Dos Equis guy. We’re pretty sure you’re the most interesting man in the world. Give us a quick rundown of what you did prior to EY. What’s been your favorite work experience?
Prior to becoming a designer I was a cyber security architect for several US Federal Agencies. But in seeing where the industry was going I felt I could have a greater impact if I transitioned to product design. My favorite work experience was creating a cutting edge AI compliance product for Citi. It was challenging and pushed my skill set but I got to work with some amazingly talented people to create something truly unique.
You’re incredible photographer, which photo best encapsulates 2018 for you?
Being able to throw out this hoodie since the Eagles finally won the super bowl!!
Aren’t you a musician? Tell us a bit about that!
Yea, I played classical trumpet for 6 years but have been a part time bass guitar player and producer. Music plays a deeply personal part in my life and can listen to an particular album and transport myself back to when I first heard it.
Who should we be listening to right now?
Death from above 1979 is great; Gary Clark Jr. is an amazing new guitarist as well.
What are a few of your all-time favorite album covers? How do they set the tone for the music inside?
The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails; Given it was recorded in the house that Sharon Tate was murdered by Charlie Manson the album cover is really abstract but haunting.
Best album of 2018…?
Even though I'm not his biggest fan I have to give credit to Post Malone for his album, Beerbongs and Bentleys. Being able to listen to an album front to back is rare these days and you can certainly put that one and just go along for the ride.
What song best captures your photography style?
Can't decide but either of these, Survivalism or The Feast and The Famine
