First, congrats and thanks so much for being the first Artist outside of digital to participate in EY Mixes!

Humbled and honored. This is truly the opportunity of a lifetime.

Can you give us a bit of background on yourselves? (When you joined the firm, where you were before joining, etc.)

I joined EY in September 2018 as a BAP in the Chicago office. Prior to that I attended an illustrious university by the name of Mizzou (Go Tigers), and have lived approximately 91% of my life in the great state of Missouri. Currently in the process of transferring offices from Chicago to NYC and will be up here officially starting in December.

What’s your day-to-day process? Are you a “sit at a desk” 9 to 5 type person? What’s your ideal work environment? Loud? Quiet? Messy? Organized?

Definitely leaning towards the loud side of the spectrum (I think my team(s) would agree with that). Overall, I like to be active during the workday, and don’t like it when things feel too calm. Ideal work environment really depends on what’s going on, but usually I like something that’s at least somewhat busy/loud so I don’t lose my mind.

We understand you grew up in St. Louis and currently work out of the Chicago office (bit of a rivalry there), can you give us a few of your favorite places, activities to do in both?

Let’s see…

St. Louis: you have to go to Forest Park, the Botanical Garden, Ballpark Village, Soulard, and at least one of several breweries (4Hands, 2nd Shift, and Urban Chestnut are must visit breweries for me). The arch is cool I guess but it’s like seeing the Bean in Chicago or the Vessel in NYC- see it once you don’t need to see it again.

Chicago: if you only have one day in the city you need to do yourself a favor and get a drink at the signature room. Kinda touristy spot, but it’s a bar on the 96th floor of the Hancock tower, so that’s pretty neat. Otherwise west loop is hands down my favorite place in the city. Old industrial area that all the yuppies are moving into. If you’re looking for a brewery then Off Color in Ranch Triangle is a must. Otherwise go see the lake and avoid Navy Pier at all costs.

Speaking of St. Louis, the Blues recently won their first Stanley Cup, without using Gloria, what is your go to song request at a party or celebration?

Can someone please play Gloria already?

Outside of work, what are some hobbies that you use to pass time?

Oh man now we’re making me question my priorities. Let’s see…

  • I’m a big runner. Not necessarily because it’s fun (it is), but because I need to pay down my beer debt somehow.

  • Per the above, I really like going to breweries

  • If you ask me the same question in a month- I want to start homebrewing.

  • If I have the chance, I like going to see some nature. Granted this one is a little tough living in a city.

Last question/scenario: You enter a contest to determine the best one-hit-wonder. What song/artist is your submission?
