EY Mixes would not exist without you. How weird is it to be interviewed by the site you created?
It's kind of like taking a selfie, which is never a good idea.
Tell us the story of EY Mixes in one sentence.
I'm always fascinated by what inspires people, especially music.
What’s with the interview?
I really do love interviews, especially when I interview myself. The interview allows us to get to know these designers and colleagues beyond what music inspires them. I'm always fascinated by what inspires people, especially music.
When I first started I found it a bit difficult to know who I could approach or learn more about. I’m hoping this site can be used as a catalyst for anyone at EY to start conversations with those they may not know or interact with on a day-to-day basis.
You've said that if you weren't a designer, you'd be a postman. How does delivering mail inspire your design? What are some of your favorite sites that you've designed?
I'll have to get back to you on that one.
What do you do in Hoboken on a Friday night?
This really depends on where the night starts. If I make it back to Hoboken right after work, I’ll usually cook some food and have some drinks with my roommates. I always try to aim for a place that doesn’t get too loud or too busy, I’m not trying to fight to get to the bar to have a good time.
Where's your favorite place to see a show?
Kings Theater was the best venue I have been to for a show I think. It sounded great and was comfortable to be in…was also my first country music experience.
If you had to pick one entrance song for every time you walked into work, what would it be?
Good Vibrations by Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, I would have a reason to wear my parachute pants.
